Evening Walk in Historic Lake Oswego

AnĀ Urban Walk in the Heart of Lake Oswego

This urban walk starts in the heart of downtown Lake Oswego and continues through the oldest neighborhood in town and down to the site of the historic 1866 iron foundry. This industrial landmark is the only surviving stone foundry furnace in the West, and was restored through a broad-based community effort in 2010.

At the start of the tour we’ll view the site of a former mid-century modern shopping mall designed by local architect Richard Sundeleaf in 1959; now being replaced by a mid-rise, mixed use structure that is already changing the streetscape in downtown. (The location of the St Honore Boulangerie is pictured above.)
