Historic Irvington North Walking Tour

Fine Examples of Early 20th Century Craftsman and Period Revival Residences

The entire Irvington neighborhood is on the National Register of Historic Places. We’ll have a look at some fine examples of early 20th century residences of the Craftsman and Period Revival styles.

We’ll start at the historic Irvington School (1932) continuing for a look at the fine mid-century-modern Augustana Lutheran Church (1950) as we make our way north and east through the neighborhood. About midway through the tour we’ll come upon this fabulous “Storybook” house pictured above.
