Orenco – Then and Now

A 21st Century New Urbanist Success

Orenco was a company town established in the early 20th century by the Oregon Nursery Company. Several of the historic structures still remain. A former golf course on the site is now being transformed into the Orenco Woods Nature Park.

The town, just north of the MAX line has blossomed into a 21st century New Urbanist success with a robust mix of retail, commercial and residential development.

We’ll first have a walk south of the MAX line and then explore a bit north of the MAX line. Optional social time with food and beverage after the tour.
