Lloyd District Walking Tour

In the early 1960s, urban renewal set the stage for the creation the of the Lloyd Center; Portland’s version of the “mega-mall”. Today, the Lloyd District is in transition and the future of the Lloyd Center is uncertain. The city of Portland hopes to transform the district into another high density, livable urban enclave.
We’ll also learn about two ambitious entrepreneurs, Ben Holladay (1819-1887) and Ralph Lloyd (1875-1953), whose legacies live on; in name and in spirit.
Join me for an easy urban stroll in this NE Portland neighborhood.
